Here’s our round up of the top family events (and a few for the adults) around London this Easter.
FAMILY
Easter Events
The London Transport Museum will be hosting family events where children can play on a mini fleet of vehicles and become drivers, mechanics, cleaners, station announcers and even river captains for a day.
Easter events include animated London, where children can make tiny puppets and then create a short video and storytime, Lost in London where children help animals find their way across the capital.

Shaun The Sheep Festival
After his stand-alone cinema debut this year, Shaun The Sheep is celebrating with a flock of family events in Kew this spring.
Their will be an Easter egg hunt (April 5, 9.30am), some of Shaun’s non-animated cousins to meet, a bit of wellie wanging, face painting, sheepdog trials and delicious chocolate workshops.
He will also be hiding in Canary Wharf as part of Shaun in the City

London Wetland Centre duck
Duck Hunt
Some sneaky ducklings, above, have been playing hide and seek and now the London Wetland Centre need help getting them home. Mini explorers will get a prize for finding them all and can take part in duck painting workshops and other Easter-themed activities.

Easter Bunny at Surrey Quays
The Easter Bunny will be hopping into Surrey Quays Shopping Centre with his giant Easter egg this bank holiday weekend, where people can meet him and take photos.

COMEDY
Thursdays Backyard Comedy Club
Fresh faces and underrated stars will be joining together at this East End venue.
Hosted by David Whitney, the evening will include acts like Matt Green, Pete Teckman and Jo D’Arcy.

Astronomy Photographer Of The Year
Come and have a look at award winning photos of our night sky in this free exhibition, above, featuring pictures of nightscapes and solar systems.

If you’re fed up of all the cutesy-ness of Easter, then head to this wonderfully unusual museum, above, which also hosts a selection of seriously left-field events.
Among the eclectic collection brought together by museum founder Viktor Wynd is anything and everything that has caught his eye that includes Dodo bones and inmates doodles.

Love’s Labour’s Won (aka Much Ado About Nothing)
One of Shakespeare’s most popular comic romances, inset, will be screened in Canary Wharf for one night only this April, bringing the Royal Shakespeare Company to our doorstep.
Beatrice and Benedict’s combative relationship is played out during a post-war house party in 1919.

Easter Holiday Activities
Swim in the iconic Olympic venue for as £3 during the Easter holidays, or enroll

Party with the Easter bunny at the Copper Box
The Bunny Run
Don your best pair of bunny ears and get your legs moving in this Easter-themed run at the Olympic Park.
Choose from a 1k, 3k or 5k circuit around the park, which can be completed by running, walking or even hopping. There will be a visit from the Easter Bunny, post-race refreshments and a unique finishers medal for all participants. There will also be a Little Bunny Fun Run for children aged 8 and younger

Easter Dance Party
Party with the Easter Bunny at this free event, where the aptly-named DJ Egg-Cellent and host Natasha Khamjan will make sure you’re on your feet.
There will be dance classes for families and for teenagers in Get Ur Freak On dance sessions.
