"A West End hotel has been crowned the best in the UK to cap a stellar year for London tourism.
The plush Haymarket Hotel in Piccadilly, where rooms are around £400 per night, won the title in the TripAdviser Travellers' Choice Awards.
It was one of 25 hotels in the capital to scoop top prizes in the six categories in the awards - a higher total than New York, Barcelona and Rome combined.
The Haymarket was also placed seventh in a list of Europe's top hotels, 20th in the world, and second in the UK luxury category.
The Georgian hotel, in Suffolk Place, features 50 bedrooms and suites, an exclusive townhouse of up to five bedrooms, a gym and spa as well as 70-person dining space."
