Conheça os melhores gelados de Londres

Admit it: we are too old to run after the ice cream van (even though some of us in the office might be tempted sometimes). It gets to a point in life where a Cornetto is just not enough. We want more! We want better! We want grown-up ice cream!

London is seeing high temperatures this summer and we went through the biggest sacrifice of visiting all these ice cream places, just to give you the best recommendations. I know, it’s a dirty job but someone has to do it. Here are our finalists:

1. Gelupo (7 Archer Street, Soho, W1D 7AU): This is the closest one from our school, which means we can pop there every now and then. There are nine flavours in total, which are constantly changing. Expect innovations like ricotta, sour cherry, lemon curd, and pine nut. The ice cream is just fabulous, and they have other types of dessert as well.

2. Scoop (40 Shorts Garden, Covent Garden, WC2H 9AB): Ice cream can’t get more Italian than this. It is very creamy, and still incredibly light. Be adventurous and try their unusual flavours, such as peanut butter, sea-salted caramel (a personal favourite) or even the 70% dark chocolate.

3. Chin Chin Laboratories (49-50 Camden Lock Place, NW1 8AF): There’s science to ice cream. And the proof is that these guys use liquid nitrogen to freeze their ice cream and some of their treats are served from science beakers. The whole place looks like the lab of a mad genius. Highly recommended!
